Landlord Portal

PHA has a new Landlord Portal called Assistance Connect. We are excited for this new system to simplify and expand support offered to our landlords! In this new system, landlords can view payments, share vacant units with our Housing Search Coordinator, communicate with PHA Program Representatives, get tax documentation, send requests with messages and a lot more!

If you have not signed up for the Landlord Portal and do not have your PIN needed to set up an account, contact Jazmine at jreveron@provhousing.org to learn more.

Incentives

The Providence Housing Authority is the largest affordable housing landlord in the State of Rhode Island. We own and manage a portfolio of 2,600 public housing units within Providence and administer another 2,700 rental assistance vouchers to tenants on the private market. In addition to property management, we manage our facilities in-house and provide critical resident services while coordinating with outside partners to insure those we serve maintain successful tenancy. This experience provides a unique perspective on the market and an expertise that we hope to share with landlord partners throughout the communities we serve.

Inspections

All units participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program must be inspected prior to occupancy using Housing Quality Standards (HQS). To review a list of basic standards for an acceptable unit, please click here.

Payment Standards

Because PHA values our landlord partners and seek to provide as many opportunities to our participants as possible, we continue to raise our payment standards whenever possible.

Landlord FAQ's

Am I able to collect a Security Deposit and who is responsible to pay it?

Owner/agents may request a security deposit.   According to RI State Law, it may not be more than one month’s rent. This is the responsibility of the tenant.  If you permit the tenant to pay in installments, it is advisable to put the payment plan in writing and both parties should sign.
